Originally from BC, Nicola has performed at various theatres across Canada. Since arriving in Toronto, Nicola has written and performed two solo shows at Soulo Festival and Soulo Showcase: New York. She was also the voice and puppeteer of Keys on the Treehouse show Splash’N Boots. She has worked with children for over a decade, most recently, as a program specialist at Camp Oochigeas, a camp for kids with and affected by childhood cancer, where she had facilitated drama programs for both parents and kids. She has also facilitated programs at SickKids hospital. Nicola has a BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta. She is currently obtaining her MA in Play Therapy and writing an educational show for Camp Quality’s national puppet program. Nicola is so excited to explore, create and share the magic of storytelling with children and their families as Resident Artist Educator at YPT in 2017.
