Mentorship is vital to teaching and learning, particularly in developing a career in the arts. Nothing provides a learning opportunity as deep or dynamic as that offered by a relationship with a good mentor, especially one who is well-established, respected and active in the field and community.

YPT’s Production Manager, Jeff Cummings, personifies mentorship in the work that he does here at the theatre and throughout the community. He was recognized for his contributions last week as the 2012 recipient of the Cultural Human Resources Council’s DUX award for OutstandingMentor.
