Community Participation Services

Community Participation at YPT looks to connect to diverse communities across the GTA to explore issues that are relevant to children and youth through theatre. Through workshops and programs, YPT is committed to working with professional facilitators of the highest quality who possess extensive experience working with young people, using a diversity of artistic approaches.

Workshops for Youth

YPT offers a large selection of workshops for community groups and organizations that enable participants to discover how they can use the arts for self understanding and positive social change. Through theatre we explore issues relevant to youth such as leadership, bullying, violence, and sexual health. Have an idea for a workshop? Let us know and we can work together to create a specialized learning experience.

Series of Sessions

Bring in an artist-educator to conduct a series of workshop sessions at your organization. Participants will gain a deep understanding of a particular theme or arts practice by engaging in the creative work over several sessions.

Pre- and Post-Show Workshops

Your group can book tickets to one of our performances at YPT and have an artist-educator conduct a workshop either prior to or after (or both!) the performance as a way to examine and reflect on the artistic experience and social themes that are addressed.
