Downtown Toronto (Fall & Winter)
Theatre for youth by youth! Students learn numerous script-building skills in order to write their own play. The student playwrights will exchange feedback as they workshop drafts of their scripts, receive dramaturgical input from professional theatre artists on staff, and interview playwrights from YPT’s 2017/18 Season. The program culminates in the opportunity to work with a professional director and hear their plays read aloud for an invited audience. (Limited to 8 students)
Writers’ Bloc meet on Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm, downtown at YPT.

Grace developed her play, As Impossible as Eating Noodles Out of a Jug during her participation in Writers’ Bloc 2016. As part of her prize, Grace will have to opportunity to have a writing session with playwright and director, Ken Gass. Grace’s play has also been nominated for The Wayne Fairhead New Play Award.
