Auditions
Young People's Theatre holds its annual General Auditions in the late spring. A request for submissions will be sent out at least four weeks prior to the start of auditions. Upon review of the submissions, we will contact those individuals that we are interested in seeing. Members of CAEA will receive priority in the selection process. YPT encourages submissions from all members of the diverse community in which we live.
As our General Auditions are meant to be introductory in nature, actors who have auditioned for us within the past three years are not eligible for submission. We also do not accept agent packages.
Submissions for General Auditions must include a headshot, resume and cover letter. Please note that we do not accept submissions by e-mail. All submissions should be clearly marked as Equity or Non-Equity and sent to:

Auditions for specific shows are scheduled as needed and a specific audition call will be posted only if it is required.

General Audition Notice
Young People’s Theatre (YPT) is accepting resumes for its 2012 General Auditions on March 28th (CAEA) and April 4th (half day for non-CAEA) at 165 Front Street East, Toronto ON M5A 3Z4. Members of CAEA who haven’t previously auditioned will have priority. All ethnicities and body types encouraged to audition. Requirements: 2 contrasting modern Canadian monologues totaling no more than 5 minutes. Only those selected for an audition will be contacted. Send headshot/resume clearly marked Equity or Non-Equity and “General Audition” to the attention of Stephen Colella. Please do not submit if you have auditioned for YPT in the last three years. No agent packages. No e-mail submissions. Submission deadline is March 6th.

General Musical Audition Notice
Young People’s Theatre (YPT) is accepting resumes for its 2012 General Musical Auditions on March 30th at 165 Front Street East, Toronto ON M5A 3Z4. CAEA members who haven’t previously auditioned will have priority. All ethnic/vocal/body types encouraged to audition. Requirements: One Broadway-style song and one monologue. Only those selected for auditions will be contacted. Please send headshot and resume clearly marked “General Musical Auditions” to the attention of Stephen Colella. Please do not submit if you have auditioned for YPT in the last three years. No agent packages. No e-mail submissions. Submission deadline is March 6th.
